Promoting a positive, healthy environment that focuses on therapeutic progress through experiential learning is what makes Stevens’ program so special. Stevens has developed a well rounded recreation program that operates on the philosophy that it is important to teach our students how to play and interact with one another and with staff. With four components, the emphasis of recreation is the physical, social and emotional development of each student. Stevens offers a wide range of recreation and leisure programs that give students the opportunity to participate in activities that stimulate interest and increase self-esteem.
- A spacious ball field offers students the opportunity to participate in any number of sports and recreational programs.
- A full size gymnasium, basketball, tennis and volleyball court are available to all students.
- A campus pond provides a fishing venue for students to enjoy and is where educational activities are conducted.

Staff Appreciation Day
Students take the time to show their appreciation to the staff from various departments . Each boy has an opportunity to write letters and read them at special events to express how they feel about a staff member who has helped make their experience at Stevens special or has made a difference in their life.
